For the past 70 years, Newton Little League has maintained an outstanding little league baseball program for the city. The league is comprised of volunteers like you, dedicated to providing a valuable opportunity for our kids to grow, learn, develop, and have fun in a safe friendly competitive environment. Many of us have little or no baseball experience other than possibly playing in little leagues ourselves as a kid. Or perhaps you were a former third base coach for the Boston Red Sox? Either way it doesn’t matter – we all need support and training to do our jobs better, and we also need a network of colleagues who are committed to helping each other out if anyone needs a hand. This year, for second first time, the league is continuing an initiative aimed at helping coaches coach better. The Board recently set-up a Coaches and Player Development Committee to establish an ongoing training program and support network for all coaches of NLL from T-Ball to Majors.
Stay tuned for upcoming dates that coaches should take note of.
