Newton Little League Senior League Division (ages 13-15) serves ALL NEWTON RESIDENTS!

Newton Little League (ages 4-12) serves players who reside within or attend private or public schools within the boundaries of Ward, Underwood, Lincoln Eliot, Horace Mann, Pierce, Cabot, Burr, Franklin, Williams and Day, Bigelow or Brown Middle Schools.

Children who attend one of these schools but live out of the district may participate in NLL's program under Little League's 2020 rules without a waiver.

For all 2021 programs, the child's age is based on their age on 08/31/2021.

If you live in Newton, are not signing up for NLL Senior League Division, but are outside these school districts you can register at http://newtonsoutheastll.org/

Games are typically played two to three times per week, Sunday through Saturday. Weekend games will be played mostly on Sundays for all levels unless Saturdays are requested by certain teams. Makeup games may occur on any day. Practices are held at the coaches' discretion. Summer games are played during the week only.

All registrations are submitted online. Please select the proper link below to register a Player or a Coach/Volunteer for one of our programs (Spring, Summer, or Fall).

SCHOLARSHIPS: Newton Little League maintains a Scholarship Fund to aid families facing economic hardship. It is the policy of NLL that no child should be denied the opportunity to play baseball due to a family's financial situation. The application process is a simple one; all that needs to be done is to send a request to our Treasurer/Player Agent at . This letter is only reviewed by our Treasurer/Player Agent and does not require financial documentation. Newton Little League is sensitive to both family needs and privacy.

2021 Summer Clinics - TBall, Rookie, Farm and Single A

We are excited to announce that Newton Little League will be running a series of professionally coached, baseball skills clinics for younger players at both Murphy and Roche fields at Albemarle Park.

Clinics will be held July 28, August 4, August 11 and August 18 and will be divided into two sessions:

  • The first session will run from 5pm to 6pm for TBall and Rookie divisions
  • The second session will run from 6pm to 7pm for Farm and Single A divisions

This is a great opportunity for coaches, assistant coaches, and parents to participate and learn how to run practices and plan engaging drills for the upcoming Fall and Spring seasons.

There is no cost for these clinics, however an optional donation of $5 or $10 would be appreciated and will help cover the cost to run these sessions.

2021 Fall Majors

Little League ages 10-12:

The Majors Division is made up primarily of players who are league age 11-12 or grades 6-7.   Age is based on the player's league age for 2022 Little League Season.   For Fall 2021, a player's age is determined by their age on 8/31/2022.  Players who are league age 12 will be placed on a Major's roster unless a AAA placement is requested.

Placement of non-returning majors players is done at the discretion of the commissioner based on spring coach evaluations. The decisions are final and nonnegotiable.

Playing Majors in the fall does not guarantee a spot for the spring. There will be tryouts in the winter for spring teams.

2021 Fall Minors

Grades 3-6:

AA Division is a developmental league and coaches are expected to emphasize having fun while teaching players fundamental baseball skills. Players' pitch, scores, and standings are kept, bunting is allowed, and limited base stealing (second base only) is permitted. Games will be competitive, but coaches should utilize game situations to teach correct situational play and decision-making. Players will play a variety of positions.

AAA Division is a more advanced league for players who have demonstrated a greater proficiency with baseball fundamentals. There is a continual emphasis on building and developing further baseball skills in a competitive environment. Players' pitch, scores, and standings are kept, and base stealing (to second and third base only) and bunts are permitted.  Little League age 12 players may play in this division by waiver only.

2021 Fall T-Ball & Coach Pitch

Grades K-2:

Based on prior feedback, we have established a Single A Division that will be similar to the Farm Division from previous years but will be closer to real baseball. We will introduce kid pitch at some point in the season. We think this will be a good bridge for kids that are more advanced than Farm but not quite ready for AA.

The Farm Division is for players who are league age 6-8, typically 1st grade or less-skilled 2nd graders. This is an instructional division where the focus is on developing players and their skills. Teams of 10-12 players are typically formed by placing friends and classmates together.

The T-Ball & Rookie League goal is to provide an introductory skill-based baseball experience that allows Kindergarten-aged players exposure to coach pitch with the option of hitting off of a Tee. Teams are focused on providing young players with fundamental baseball skills plus FUN! Teams will be 7-9 players with friends and classmates playing together.
