The Advanced Coach Pitch division is made up of players in second grade, and players in first grade who have played developmental coach pitch baseball in the previous Spring season. Advanced Coach Pitch is instructional with the focus being on skill development, but the game will be closer to real baseball, with kid pitching and catching introduced into the game to help develop and prepare players for AA. Teams are assembled by the commissioner and are formed with players from the same or neighboring elementary schools. Scores are not kept and there are no standings or playoffs.
Advanced Coach Pitch teams typically have three commitments a week - a practice, a weeknight game, and a weekend game. Weeknight games are typically Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday and weekend games are played Sunday afternoons. Games during the week start between 5:15 and 5:45 depending on the field. Once-a-week practice times will be determined by the individual coaches.
