The Majors division is our most competitive division and is typically made up of players who are league age 12 and 11. Occasionally, a league age 10 player is placed in Majors.
Teams are selected via a draft. Children playing in the Majors must try out, and once drafted by a team, they remain on that team for the balance of their Little League careers. The Majors division maintains standings and has playoffs to determine champion.
Only league age 12 players and returning Major league players are guaranteed placement in the Majors division. Little League of America requires all league-age 12 players are placed on a Majors team, unless a parent/guardian specifically requests they play in AAA. All other players are subject to placement in the AAA Minors division.
Majors teams play 2-3 games per week - typically, one game on Sunday afternoon or evening, and one or two games during the week. Games during the week typically start between 5:15 and 5:45 pm depending on the field.
